The key objective of the project is the rehabilitation and expansion of the main stadium in the "Omnisport Complex President Omar Bongo Ondimba". It is predicted to be transformed into a modern stadium which will increase its capacity to 40,000 seats and which will fulfill all criteria prescribed for this type of structure by Gabonese, French and European regulation, be conformed with the CAF or FIFA recommendations and meet all the necessary regquirements for organizing matches.

Another objective of the project concerns stadium upgrade in order to organize, in addition to football games, various athletics and other sports and cultural events for spectators.
